Apple is assembling iPhone SE (2020) in India

iPhone SE has become the most affordable iPhone in India. In 2020, earlier this year due to an upgrade to the original iPhone SE and made it an affordable iPhone for locals in India. Now, it seems that Apple has started assembling iPhone SE ( 2020) seeing the growing demand.

Few days before Apple’s manufacturing partner Wistron broke the news that Apple is assembling iPhone SE. The Bengaluru facility has started the work already. They are doubling the workforce to attain iPhone SE manufacture at a maximum level in India. This news came after we learn that Apple is also planning on doubling the workforce for iPhone 12 series.

“New iPhone SE packs our most powerful chip into our most popular size at our most affordable price and we are excited to be making it in India for our local customers,”( Apple recently said in an official interview)

Although the company has not provided any details on the “assembled in India” tag and we are to expect assembled iPhone SE in India. Since the manufacture has started so we can expect the arrival of locally manufactured iPhone SE at stores in the following weeks.

Now the biggest question arrives,

how will assembled iPhone SE benefit Indian buyers?

 Apple presently needs to pay 20 percent import obligation on each iPhone that it boats to India from its other assembling centers. The organization would now be able to dodge these import costs however it will in any case need to pay charges on singular parts. We can estimate Apple to sell the cost for manufacturing prices in the coming weeks. It presently begins at Rs. 42,500 (or $399 in the US) in India.
