Oppo’s latest 125W flash charge technology can power up your phone within 20 minutes

Fast-charging has been emerging as the primary focus area among smartphone manufacturers to be at the top. To become the pioneer of fast charging, Oppo has released 125W flash charge technology that can charge your smartphone’s battery within 20 minutes.

Oppo says that this new 125W fast-charging technology will be available only for Oppo smartphones, and it will be closed to specific devices by the brand. Users who now have Oppo smartphones will have to update their smartphones to enjoy this privilege.

As this 125W technology is specially developed keeping the future smartphones in mind, Oppo might launch it with Reno 5 or Find X3 series. The information is not available with which devices this technology will be available, but, admittedly, the users don’t have to wait for long charging hours as with the current smartphones. That will be significantly helpful for travelers or people on the go.

According to a result given by Oppo, the charger with 125W technology charged a 4,000mAh battery to 41% from 0 in just 5 minutes. It completed the remaining in the next 20 minutes, which means that your smartphone will be charged in no time. The new Oppo Find X2 Pro has a battery capacity of 4,260mAh, pretty much similar to the test phone.

20 minutes charging

Oppo also launched the latest 65W Air VOOC technology for wireless charging. The technology provides impressive wireless charging speeds compared to other competitors. However, the results are quite mediocre, as it charged a 4,000mAh smartphone in half an hour. Oppo itself provided the result, so the results might not be quite impressive in the real world.

Oppo announced this 125W flash charge technology, after the possibility of Realme launching the 121W fast-charging technology. Earlier, Vivo and Xiaomi have also given charging speeds around 100W.

The brand has not made it clear if the battery will degrade quicker than usual because of fast charging. It’ll be witnessed when Oppo will launch the technology in any smartphone.
